Xtreme web chat with Dr Martin at the ISEH

Xtreme Everest's Dan Martin joined the Institute of Sport Exercise and Health this morning for their monthly web chat.

Questions posted from the public ranged from asking how the expedition came about to how does one get 26 tonnes of kit from the UK to Nepal and then up a mountain. One of the tougher questions Dan was asked by those on the chat was to tell them about his personal highlight of the research he has undertaken.

To read the chat in full, you can visit the ISEH's Xtreme Everest web chat page. Included in the chat are some new 2013 expedition photos and some interesting Dan facts.

The ISEH run a monthly web chat with experts based at the Institute. Previous chats include;

  • Running and getting fit for sport with Dr Courtney Kipps
  • Avoiding and managing common injuries in sport with Dr Kal Parmar
  • UCLH web chat with ISEH consultants Dr Courtney Kipps and Bruce Paton on Sports Medicine
