Sponsor the Xtreme Runners now!

The Xtreme Everest team will be running in the Bournemouth Marathon again this year, with return runners Mike, Kay and David making appearance along with some new faces - more than fifteen of our friends and colleagues have agreed to join us in October already, covering every one of the distances on offer.

Last year we raised nearly £2000 for the Sherpas that have supported us over the last ten years we have been running research studies in Nepal.

Money raised this year will go to Phase Worldwide, supporting their Phase Nepal arm. We are hoping to aim £10,000 upwards to support a health post in the Humla region, which will help to provide public health education and access to basic primary health care and maternal care.

In the Humla Region, far west Nepal, one in every 17 children will die before their first birthday and one in every 13 children will die before he or she turns five. This region has the highest proportion of women in Nepal who report receiving no anti-natal care at 35%. 24% of women have an unmet need for contraception and only 29% of baby deliveries are attended by skilled personnel.
